About Us
The Dunsborough Historical Society is a dedicated group of local volunteers working to preserve and share the rich history of Dunsborough and its surrounds. Originally known as the Cape Naturaliste Society which was established in the early 1990’s, we are passionate about honouring early residents, commemorating key community events and keeping local stories alive.
Our current projects include township history plaques, an exhibition at Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse and collecting oral history recordings. We regularly fundraise through raffles and host photographic displays to engage the community. We also regularly offer our guest speaking services to many organisations and schools throughout the region.
Our mission is to protect the stories of our past for future generations, with the valued support of the Dunsborough & Districts Progress Association. We meet monthly at Caves House and warmly welcome new members and supporters.
